FAFSA - Free Application for Federal Student Aid

***we recommend all students to complete a  FAFSA unless you are attending a trades program or workforce program.

***Paul Mitchell accepts FAFSA.

  • Colleges use FAFSA to complete a students' financial aid package.

  • Many scholarships require the FAFSA Summary Page to be turned in with their application. 

  • The Idaho Opportunity Scholarship requires the FAFSA to be completed no later than March 1st. 

  • The North Idaho College Foundation Scholarships require a completed FAFSA.

Scholarship Idaho 

Idaho's scholarship portal for the following scholarships

    • This award is limited in funding and is contingent on amount of students who apply.​

  • Idaho Governor's Cup - CTE 

  • Gear Up Scholarship - specific to students who have previously attended a "gear-up" school. PFHS is not a "gear-up" school.

North Idaho Fair Foundation

  • Award Amounts - $500 to $1,500

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited 2 or 4-year academic institution or trade school.

  • Must be a current Kootenai or Shoshone County resident. 

  • Preference will be given to youth who have actively assisted in some capacity at the North Idaho State Fair and Gem State Stampede (exhibited/performed, trash pick-up, food booth worker, ticket taker, etc.).

  • Due Date - February 28th - must take to fair grounds.

Idaho Community Foundation Scholarships

  • Alois and Marie Goldmann Memorial - Idaho graduating senior, attending an Idaho college or university - Deadline is March 1st

  • Anne Veseth Memorial - Attending college in Idaho, pursuing a degree in Fire Ecology or Auto Mechanics - Deadline is March 15th

  • Idaho Power Company Memorial - Attending college in Idaho - pursuing and engineering program or natural resource program - Deadline is March 1st

  • Larry J. May Hospitality Management - Degree-seeking or certificate-seeking program related to the hospitality industry - Deadline is March 15th

  • Mike Crapo Math and Science - Attending a 4-year college in Idaho - pursuing a major in math, science, or engineering. GPA minimum - 3.0  - Deadline is March 15th

  • Yvonne and Dick Lierz Scholarship - Attending an Idaho or Nevada university and has significant community service - Deadline is March 15th

  • Have a permanent legal residence within the Episcopal Diocese of Spokane (the state of Washington east of the Cascades and the state of Idaho north of the Salmon River)

  • Have arranged for all references to be submitted by March 15

  • Be a high school senior
